CANPACK Group has been operating in the metal packaging market for over

beverage packaging industry in Central and Eastern Europe, and constantly

Starting in 1992 as a company which aim was to produce 330 ml aluminum beverage cans, their offer now has increased considerably. At present the offer of CANPACK Group includes – in addition to beverage packaging – a wide range of welded steel cans for food industry, easy-open ends, aerosol cans, bottle closures, packaging for the chemical and the cosmetic industries, glass and plastic packaging, as well as services related to the production of packaging.
In the last years, the CANPACK Group has achieved spectacular success, evolving into a modern Capital Group and is now one of the leading manufacturers of metal packaging in the world. The plants of the Group employ 5,500 people and annual sales exceed $ 1.4 billion. The installed capacity currently allows them to offer approximately 18 billion beverage cans, over 30 billion pieces of bottle closures, nearly 1.2 billion of metal containers for the food and the chemical industries, and approximately 700 tons of glass packaging a year.
The current organizational structure of CANPACK Group is based on five industrial holdings: beverage cans, food and chemicals packaging, glass containers, closures for bottles and developer services. CANPACK remains also active in regards to the sustainable development goals. Based on CAN PACK Group reports, all factories have environmental permits in accordance with the applicable national law. The impact upon the environment is monitored in accordance with local legal requirements and internal standards of the Group. Periodic and, in some cases, continuous measurement of emissions to air, water and sewage transportation are conducted. Consumption of utilities and production materials are monitored and analyzed, and the results are used to develop plans to reduce the impact on the environment.
Pro-environmental activities in the individual factories are concentrated in the areas including:
- reduction of energy and water consumption through the implementation of improvements and technological innovations
- reduction of emissions and noise to the environment
- reduction of amount and segregation of production waste
These activities are associated with a number of expenditures, investments and training of production personnel.
